Diane von Furstenberg RTW Spring/Summer 2013 Collection!

This DVF collection is very relaxed and colorful with a couple of red carpet worthy dresses. It also has a touch of DVF's bohemian side. My favorite pieces were certainly the expensive looking and laid back pieces which would normally look so fluffy if the right fabric wasn't used. The clothes, handbags and glasses were so stop-and-stare that they downplayed the make-up and shoes by going for nude or color matching, which was a pretty smart idea. DVF also didn't do a lot of cut outs, instead she focused more on deep V-necks and high slits on dresses.

I'm sure that everyone is wondering about the glasses the models and DVF co-workers were wearing. Diane partnered with Google for their Glass Technology and they even shot a video a week prior to the runway show.
Speaking of runway Diane has confirmed that the label is making about 25,000 pieces (a week!). I know right...amazing. DVF was all smiles and happy last week on FNO. She had a lot of activities and give aways and she even had a DJ, Solange Knowles. Yes, model, actress, singer, blogger - and now DJ - Solange Knowles. She even looked great doing it, as always. Solange is known for her fun and creative - and bold - style. Did I mention that she had three outfit changes? Well, she looked amazing in all of them!

In 2005 Diane von Furstenberg got the CFDA Lifetime Achievement Award and since 2006 she has been the president of CFDA.

The models I recognized during the Diane von Furstenberg show were Hanne Gaby Odiele, Tilda Lindstam, Joan Smalls and Kasia Struss.

DVF always has something to add to fashion week, even though her famous signature wrap dress wasn't really standing out this time (as it did in 1974). I guess she lives by the motto: "design but don't over do it". She must be doing something right, because first lady Michelle Obama and the Duchess of Cambridge can't get enough of her.
Much Love,
