Stacey Bendet & Rachel Roy for One Kings Lane for Charity!

Dear Fashion Enthusiasts,
As you know Fashion is not all about Shopping till you're Dropping, but giving the fact that the holidays are around the corner I'd like to share with you the amazing opportunity to give back by buying designer wrapping paper. Not just designer wrapping paper: Alice + Olivia's Stacey Bendet & Rachel Roy's specially designed wrapping paper! They have both chosen wonderful charity's that benefit both children and women.

Alice + Olivia's Stacey Bendet

As most of you know Stacey is known for her humorous and colorful designs when it comes to Alice + Olivia's collections. For this wonderful holiday wrapping paper she took influences from her latest collection and transformed it into fun and Christmas-influenced paper.

The Inspiration:

There are a total of three designs for the A+O wrapping paper. I found the looks that they were inspired by. The first one has a green base with lace on it and it was inspired by a look from A+O's Fall 2012 RTW collection. It's a long strapless dress with a peplum that has rock influences in it.
The second print is a dark red floral print that is also inspired by a look from A+O's Fall 2012 RTW Collection. It's a strapless cocktail dress that matches the normal Christmas red that would look totally amazing under your Christmas tree!
The third print has an artistic vibe, with the different shapes and colors. It looks like a holiday painting, that I would love to hang. The third one is also my favorite print from Stacey.

To order Alice + Olivia's holiday wrapping paper on One Kings Lane, visit: Stacey Bendet for One Kings Lane.
Alice + Olivia will donate to an organization supporting girls with talent and a dream Girls Who Code.

Rachel Roy:

Rachel Roy has a more sophisticated design when it comes to her collections because she most of the time designs for the working woman. For this occasion she designed prints fitting her artistic side which is what this holiday is all about: being creative! Rachel played with less Christmas-influenced colors, but that might be fine for people who find it cheesy to wear or wrap with red or green.

The first print has a white base with a blue floral (some might say paint) print. This one is my favorite print from Rachel Roy.
The second print has a light blue base with different types&colors of feathers on it.
The third print has a white base with red and gold vertical, horizontal and sloping stripes.

To order Rachel Roy's holiday wrapping paper, visit: Rachel Roy for One Kings Lane.
Rachel Roy will donate to an organization helping children in Africa: Orphan Aid Africa.
DiFashionista also blogged about Rachel Roy's latest Pre-Fall 2013 Collection.

The holidays are really a time to reflect and  be thankful for the people around you, but part of receiving is also giving to those in need. This is a wonderful cause and I 100% support it, but there are other ways to give back in your own community without spending a dime. Time is precious and donating time is worth just as much (maybe even more). 'Tis the Season to be Giving, so let me know what other causes you will be supporting this holiday to make this world a better place!

The wrapping paper from Stacey & Rachel cost $15 and have been launched today, Monday December the 3rd. They will be available till Thursday December the 6th to be delivered in time for Christmas.
Remember: this Christmas love the Giver more than the Gift and the wrapping paper!
Much Love,

Rachel Roy Pre-Fall 2013 Collection

Rachel Roy is certainly no unknown designer especially when it comes to work-wear. This Pre-Fall 2013 collection is no different; it's filled with clothes for the modern business woman who plans on turning heads. The collection has a total of 22 looks, ending with a black deep V-neck lace dress, which was my favorite look from RR's Pre-Fall collection.
Next to that you will find a lot of knee-length skirts, blazers and wide-leg silk pants. The pieces are very much wearable separately and they certainly don't need a lot of styling and over-accessorizing since most of them have the accessories hints and elements in them already.
The inspiration for this RR's collection goes beyond your typical vacation sight-seeing or even the always funny cat inspired story! Rachel has an interest in delevoping countries and she is currently busy with meetings in Haiti and Kenya, helping local women come up with new ideas for businesses. So she was inspired by their culture and of course hers too. It's really more of a women helping women situation. Her talent is really bringing urban and modern together.

Designer - Mother of 2 - Stylist - Philanthropist: Rachel Roy

The 38-year-old designer is a member of the CFDA since 2007. Before she started her self-titled collection in 2005, she worked for Rocawear, as an intern and later as creative director for the women's and children's division. The American designer has a Dutch and Indian heritage and has a long list of Charity Projects, and this is most of the time her inspirstion. Next to Rachel Roy, Rachel also has two collections: RACHEL Rachel Roy & Rachel Roy Signature. They can be found at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman & Nordstrom.

Here are a couple of my favorite looks:

Here is the rest of the Rachel Roy Pre-Fall 2013 collection:

One might say maybe it's not such a great idea to make a collection full of clothes for the modern working woman, but the collection also has a couple of resort& dinner-and-a-movie pieces (like the crop blazer & the sleeveless metallic jacket) that give it sort of a balance. If that's not enough: some might argue that the business woman is the business lately! A lot of designers and magazines are focusing on and supporting the modern business woman. Think about it: Marie Claire launched Marie Claire at Work with ads for the business woman who goes from work to dinner or another meeting. Lately designers also have one or two blazers or work trousers in their collection.
Women supporting Women certainly seems like a new trend I am willing to follow, what about you?
Much Love,
