Dion Lee RTW Spring/Summer 2013 Collection

Trust me there are more reason to me loving Dion Lee's collection than him having a male version of my name. You simply can't ignore his kind of talent - which by the way is as futuristic as fashion can get. His modern techniques and his ability to mix pop colors with neutrals and black and whites is simply the answer to his success. Dion makes me appreciate architecture and fine art, which you can't put a price on. I even see a piece of nature in some of the designs. Dion is just one of those designers where you just know that you can expect structured, futuristic and well cut clothes. If he was a writer he'd be a sci-fi writer and if he was a florist he'd be a florist who invented flowers that live and grow by air.
Let's not forget the various women who'd pay anything to wear these expensive looking (for a reason) pieces that flatter a woman's body and makes them look young. Dare we say that Dion knows a woman's body so well that even if he plans to put a statue on one of his pieces, that he'll put it someplace safe? The answer is yes (that's me looking into the future).
Dion Lee
Dion Lee won the LMFF Young Designer Award in 2010 and he is the brand ambassador of Audi's A1. Dion is Australian and his first show was last season for London Fashion Week. Dion Lee's clothes can be found at Net a Porter.

Here are a couple of my favorite pieces:

Here is the rest of the collection:

Next to Brandon Sun, Dion Lee is certainly in the top on the list of "the ones to watch". I mean he's young - and modern - and he gets his point of view across very well. We need to thank guys like Dion for making us all feel like we lived past 2012.
Much Love,
