Oscar de la Renta RTW Spring/Summer 2013 Collection:

Just when I was about to say no peplums for Oscar de la Renta this season, he proved me wrong. A pastel strapless top with a peplum on the bottom made me take back my words. Two of my favorite looks are the yellow outfits Joan Smalls (1st look) and Cara Delevingne (4th look) are wearing. Two other looks that are also my favorites are the 3D green dots on the bright pink dress and jacket. It's absolutely a wow factor and show stopper. There's also a lot of lace - more than before - and high slits. .

Oscar de la Renta
Oscar de la Renta, the 80 year old designer, has a CFDA Lifetime Achievement Award on his name. He served as President of the CFDA for two terms: 1973 - 1976 and 1986 - 1988. He was trained by Cristobal Balenciaga from the clothing line Balenciaga and he has worked for Lavin and one of my favorite designers, Balmain (1993-2002)! Oscar de la Renta was born in the Dominican Republic and he became the first Dominican to design for a French label, Balmain. There are also records of him designing for Jacqueline Kennedy.

Here's the runway video:

Cara Delevingne, Joan Small, Jourdan Dunn, Kasia Struss and Lara Stone are a couple of the models from yesterday's Oscar de la Renta RTW Spring/Summer 2013 runway show. Some of them - Joan Smalls, Cara Delevingne etc - even walked twice!

Here are a couple of my favorite looks:

Have a look at the rest of the collection:

The main themes for this collection are lace, modern and pastel (colors). It has a great ratio between femininity and sophistication and I really appreciate that! Do you? Let me know.
Much Love,
