The Oscar de la Renta Effect!

Karlie Kloss, Oscar de la Renta and Daria Strokous

Oscar de la Renta, a designer I wrote many Fashion reviews about without growing tired of it, passed away Monday October 20 2014. The legendary Fashion designer known for his ultra feminine touch in everything he designed, will be missed by many Fashionistas. It's pointless to say that there isn't an award show where no one shows up wearing Oscar de la Renta. Oscar was trained by Cristobal Balenciaga and Antonio del Castillo and he has worked for Balmain and Lanvin. Oscar also served as president of the C.F.D.A. and in 1990 he was honored with the C.F.D.A. Lifetime Achievement Award.

Remembering Oscar de la Renta...I see a lot of florals and a lot of lace in a youthful and classy Fashion. Even the colors, they were soft, and if they weren't they were made extra feminine in an elegant way. ' Cause that's the Oscar de la Renta woman...extra feminine with a modern twist.
The Oscar de la Renta girl will live forever and so will he.

Take a look through Oscar's last collection, Spring 2015 RTW:

R.I.P. Oscar de la Renta.

'The only realities in life are that you are born and that you die. We always think we are going to live forever. The one thing about having this kind of warning is how you appreciate every single day of life'
- Oscar de la Renta
