Burberry Prorsum RTW Spring/Summer 2013 collection

When I woke up this morning, I thought: " finally! It's Burberry Monday". I've been looking forward to this since forever! Burberry being my favorite clothing line, I can't help but stan for them! I even had a hard time picking my favorites. Between all the metallic and leather can you blame me? Just to think that Burberry used to be a motorbike inspired collection, I can still see a hint of that. They've slowly been working metallic pieces into their collections and they even released their metallic trench coats in many colors. The all white trench coat that Cara Delevingne is wearing is my favorite though. Most of all I really liked the coats that stopped at the waist and looked like capes, it made me think of the song "we can be heroes" in the Coca Cola commercial. Next to that did you get a chance to admire the sunglasses and bags...awesome. We also get a chance to see a lot more skin than usually with bodysuits and shorts.

Burberry always goes above and beyond when it comes to well....everything! This time they made 3D invitations of the city London, how cool is that?

The front row was crowded with famous Brits such as tennis player Andy Murray (who was Anna Wintour's plus one), Dev Patel, Dita von Teese, Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul and One Direction's Harry Styles. Musician and Burberry model Roo Panes and model Gabriella Wilde were also there.

Of course I spotted a couple of amazing models in this show like Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn and Eddie Redmayne. All have had a fantastic year so far! Cara and Eddie have even started an acting career. Cara plays alongside Keira Knightley, Aaron Johnson and Jude Law in the movie version of the Russian novel Anna Karenina. Eddie Redmayne has already worked with Michelle Williams for My Week with Marilyn and he can soon be seen on the big screen in Les Miserables starring alongside Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Huge Jackson and Russel Crow. Next to David Gandy, Cara and Jourdan are also nominated for Best Model at the 2012 British Fashion Awards (BFA).

Christopher Bailey
Christopher Bailey is the Chief Creative Officer of Burberry, he's also responsible for the overall image of all Burberry collections and products. Christopher used to design womenswear for Donna Karen for 2 years (1994 - 1996). After that he became Senior Designer of Womenswear at Gucci from 1996 - 2001. He joined Burberry in May 2001. Mr.Bailey has several impressive awards on his name such as Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards in both 2005 and 2009. He also won Menswear Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards in both 2007 and 2008. He's like the Coco Rocha of designers; if you want to see an impressive resume read his (and Coco Rocha's of course).
The very handsome and talented Christopher is engaged and soon to be married to Simon Woods. They are keeping the date a secret. Simon is a British actor whose known for playing alongside Keira Knightley in the movie version of Pride and Prejudice. They've been dating since 2009.

It was so difficult to choose my favorites but here they are:

Here is the rest of the collection so you can pick your favorites:

What can you expect from Burberry? Only everything...of course! Every designer always puts a hint of what they want to show you for next season. Remember last season Christopher showed us a drop of metallic and this season we saw it in overflow. I mean Burberry used to be so famous for their colors and they slowly added a touch of color and later metallic. I'm so thankful for Christopher and if this means that they showed us a drop of next season, I can't wait to see it!
Much Love,
